Dos Hombres eyes growth as it lands $15m investment

Mezcal brand Dos Hombres, owned by Breaking Bad actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, has secured a multi-million-dollar investment to fuel its next phase of expansion.

The funding was raised by selling a minority stake in the brand to an undisclosed investor. The total investment value is US$15 million.

The money will help to accelerate the brand’s awareness and distribution, further invest in Dos Hombres’ sales and field resources, and expand the premium product portfolio – which will include a series of new releases set to debut in 2026.

Cranston said: “We aspire to be the leading global premium agave spirits brand. We’ve built a strong national presence that positions us to achieve that vision.

“This investment gives us the resources to accelerate our growth and bring Dos Hombres to more consumers nationwide.”

The investment also deepens the brand’s long-term partnership with mezcal maestro Gregorio Velasco and Mexican partner Fernando Romero-Luna, strengthening their commitment to product quality and authenticity and reinforcing their long-term partnership with the brand. The brand said it would also support Dos Hombres’ commitment to traditional production, Oaxacan community investment, and quality in the premium agave category.

Dos Hombres is made in San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca, using traditional, electricity-free methods passed down through generations.

From the beginning, the brand has linked its growth to community investment. Through its 100% charitable merchandise line, the mezcal brand has supported the village of San Luis del Rio and other Oaxacan communities by providing clean drinking water, securing and expanding potable water wells, improving infrastructure with nearly 15 miles of paved roads, and funding renovations and resources for the local medical facility.

“When Bryan and I started Dos Hombres, it was our mission to create the best-tasting mezcal that embraces the authenticity and heritage of this storied spirit,” said Paul. “In partnership with Gregorio, we have developed the smoothest and most approachable mezcal with a unique flavour profile that sets us apart. We are excited for this next chapter of Dos Hombres.”

The brand confirmed Constellation Brands continues to hold a minority stake in Dos Hombres.
