50 Best Bars takes on Europe
By Lauren BowesThe inaugural list of Europe’s 50 Best Bars will launch next year, with an awards ceremony date to be revealed in due course.

50 Best Bars currently releases a World list, as well as rankings for North America and Asia.
Emma Sleight, head of content for 50 Best Bars, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to launch our new bar awards programme in Europe.
“Following the growing success of our regional lists in Asia and North America, we’re confident this new addition will become a vital part of the regional bar landscape, shining a light on both established and, excitingly, emerging destinations across the continent.
“The result will be a list of the most memorable bar experiences from the region, celebrating its passion, talent and hard work and providing a credible and trustworthy guide for discerning drinkers.”
Europe’s 50 Best Bars will include several days of celebrations, including the Bartenders’ Feast, which is hosted on the eve of the ceremony.
The list will be unveiled at an awards ceremony, featuring red-carpet arrivals and a drinks reception ahead of the live countdown.
As well as the rankings, a number of special awards for both individuals and establishments will be handed out.
The list will be based on the votes of 300 anonymous European bar industry experts from across the region. The panel does not include members of the 50 Best organisation or sponsors, and bars cannot apply to be featured.
Earlier this year, we did a deep dive into the importance of bar awards and learned more about how the 50 Best Bars list is compiled.
