TWE unveils Whisky Show 2025 exclusives
By Miona MadsenThe Whisky Exchange (TWE) has revealed seven exclusive limited release whiskies for The Whisky Show taking place this weekend in London.

Taking place at Old Billingsgate from 3-5 October, the annual show has welcomed whisky enthusiasts and industry professionals from around the world since 2009.
The releases include whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, and South Korea, along with the first TWE exclusive selected by someone outside the team: whisky author Dave Broom.
Broom’s selection for the show is an Irish whiskey from the family-run Boann Distillery. Distilled in 2021, the whiskey is crafted from a mash bill comprising 30% malted barley, 40% unmalted barley, and 30% oats. It is aged in an oloroso Sherry hogshead sourced from Rodrigues, Montilla-Moriles in Andalusia.
The Boann bottling is offered at 52% ABV and showcases flavours of cut grass, citrus zest, tinned fruits, and pineapple cubes. Limited to 318 bottles, it is available for £110 (US$148).
Representing Japanese single malts, independent bottler The Heart Cut offers an exclusive bottling of Kanosuke 2019: a five-year-old whisky aged in a Bourbon cask. Bottled at 54% ABV, the single malt presents aromas of toasted marshmallows, honeycomb, and black tea on the nose, complemented by notes of lemon verbena and ripe apricots on the palate.
With a retail price of £100 (US$135), the Kanosuke 2019 is limited to 150 bottles.
Ki One 2021, hailing from South Korea, is distilled using 100% malted barley sourced from the Gunsan district. This exclusive show bottling marks the first time that Ki One has released whisky for anyone other than the distillery itself.
The single malt presents aromas of herbal spices, brown sugar, maple, and fruit leather, with a palate that reveals notes of cinnamon and concentrated fruit. With an ABV of 57.1%, Ki One 2021 is limited to 243 bottles, each retailing for £94.95 (US$128).
Scotch single malts
The Tormore 2009 Legacy First-Fill Bourbon Barrel is one of the inaugural single malt releases from the Elixir Distillers-owned distillery. The single cask expression is limited to 210 bottles and has an ABV of 55.1%. It has a suggested retail price of £105 (US$141).
Hailing from Speyside, the 2009 Tormore features aromas of stewed apples, crunchy pears, and spiced biscuit notes. On the palate, you can expect flavours of sweet cream and apples.
The first exclusive bottling from The Whisky Exchange and independent bottler Adelphi, Benriach 2012 13-year-old, is said to boast characteristics associated with ageing in a first-fill Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask. The whisky offers aromas of dried figs and sultanas on the nose, along with Christmas spices, cacao nibs, sweet caramel, and hazelnuts on the palate.
Bottled at 58.6% ABV, the Benriach 2012 is limited to 234 bottles and retails for £89.95 (US$121).
Representing Campbeltown, Glen Scotia 2014 is a heavily peated 10-year-old single malt matured in a single first-fill Bourbon barrel. On the nose, it presents earthy aromas, complemented by milk chocolate and a dry, smoky peat character. The palate follows with herbal and chocolatey notes.
With an ABV of 55.9%, the Glen Scotia is limited to 226 bottles, with a suggested retail price of £87.95 (US$118).
The septet is completed with the Benrinnes 1992 from Gleann Mor Rare Find, which is limited to just 201 bottles at an ABV of 51.6%. The Speyside single malt was aged for 33 years in a refill hogshead, resulting in aromas of apple pie and custard, along with flavours of stewed apples, pears, and ground nutmeg.
The 33-year-old Benrinnes retails for £410 (US$551).
All seven bottlings will be available at The Whisky Show. Remaining bottles will be available at the TWE stores in London and online starting Monday 6 October.
Other bottlings available at this year’s Whisky Show include three limited edition Japanese single malts from Chichibu.
