Espolòn Cristalino Tequila makes UK debut
Campari-owned Espolòn has launched its Cristalino Tequila in the UK, which will initially be exclusive to The Whisky Exchange.
The latest addition to Espolòn’s UK portfolio, Cristalino is a super-premium aged Tequila. It was one of the final projects of maestro Tequilero Cirilo Oropeza, who passed away in 2020.
Inspired by a natural well located beneath the brand’s distillery in Los Altos, Jalisco, the expression is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave.
A blend of añejo and extra añejo, Espolòn Cristalino is ‘minimally’ filtered through charcoal to achieve a clear spirit.
The Tequila displays notes of caramelised agave and honey, with a fruity, oaky finish. Offered at 40% ABV, it is recommended to be sipped neat.

The expression debuted at The Whisky Exchange’s Tequila and Mezcal Show on 16 May.

Espolòn Cristalino will be exclusive to The Whisky Exchange for a month from 16 May. The Tequila has an RRP of £69.99 (US$94) for a 700ml bottle.
Last year, the Tequila brand released a limited edition reposado, Flor de Oro, infused with natural marigold flower extract.
