To mark World Cocktail Day today (13 May), experts at online retailer The Liquor Bros have revealed the serves best suited for each sign of the Zodiac.
Whether you’re a passionate fire sign, an intuitive water sign, a sociable air sign, or a nurturing earth sign, for World Cocktail Day, all signs are pointing towards the bar. But in case you’re not sure what cocktail suits you best, this roundup should steer you in the right direction.
The Liquor Bros CEO Nora Khoury-Potrus explains: “The personality traits of each star sign often match up perfectly with the flavours of different cocktails, making these drink recommendations surprisingly accurate for many people.
“While this is really just a fun starting point to explore which cocktails you might like the best, your zodiac sign can provide interesting insights into flavour preferences you might not have considered before.
“Serving star sign cocktails at social events and parties also makes for excellent conversation points for guests. Whether you are hosting a World Cocktail Day celebration, birthday party, or a hen do, consider adding these cocktails to your menu.”

Aries: Spicy Margarita

According to The Liquor Bros, people that fall under the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, needs a bold serve to match their fiesty temperament, like a Spicy Margarita. After all, what is better for a fire sign than a fiery cocktail?
To make one, muddle jalapeño slices in a cocktail shaker, add Tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and agave syrup before shaking vigorously. Pour into a glass with a Tajín rim and add a jalapeño slice to mirror the competitive edge of an Aries.
If Spicy Margs aren’t your thing, then you’re in luck, as the spice trend has been popping off in recent months, so your options for something with a kick definitely stretch beyond this particular cocktail.
Taurus: Espresso Martini

Taurus signs love the finer things in life and crave luxury in their glass. These earth sign drinkers have the highest standards and should therefore appreciate the rich, decadent flavours found in an Espresso Martini.
To make this cocktail, shake a premium vodka, coffee liqueur, and fresh, good quality espresso with ice, and then strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with coffee beans to cater to a Taurus’ desire for quality.
If you want to mix things up a bit, or elevate the cocktail even further, try a different premium spirit, like an extra-añejo Tequila or an aged rum.

It’s made by combining whisky, honey and lemon juice in a mug and topping with hot water until the honey dissolves. Add a cinnamon stick for the cozy touch this sensitive water sign craves.
