From 8 to 10 September, three bars will take part in guest shifts every night.

The series follows last year’s event, which was inspired by the Rugby World Cup, which was also held in Paris.

The selected bartenders each hail from a different Olympic-qualifying country, from the US to Singapore.

On 8 September, the Cambridge will welcome Kristine Gutierrez from Mister Paradise in New York, Simon Chollet from Symbiose in Bordeaux, and Andrew Ho from Hope & Sesame from Guangzhou.

This will be followed the next night by Damien Guichard from Wax On in Berlin, Takuma Watanabe from New York bar Martiny’s – who will be representing his home country of Japan – and Mia Kumari from Satan’s Whiskers in London.

The final night will feature Sasha Wijidessa from Fura, Singapore, Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos from the Bar In Front Of The Bar in Athens, and Christina Viera from Bar Mordecai in Toronto.

Each bartender will have 90 minutes to serve up a selection of cocktails, which have been created in collaboration with the Cambridge team and co-founder Hyacinthe Lescoët. The drinks will pay homage to the bartenders’ home country through flavours and ingredients.

Lescoët said: “We’re super excited to host the Summer Olympics in Paris; it provides us with the opportunity to invite nine incredible bars from the amazing nations at this year’s prestigious games in our home city.

“Our Cambridge Community Plan continues to be a big part of what we have been working on throughout 2024 and we can’t wait to continue to work with the bartending communities around the world and welcome them to our home city for a second time.”

As well as the guest shifts, the Cambridge will partner with drinks writer François Monti to host a series of seminars on the afternoon of 10 September.

Taking place at the 1K Hotel in Paris, the seminars will feature open discussions on industry topics in either a roundtable or question-and-answer format.

The Cambridge Public House recently gained B Corp certification and bought Paris bar Little Red Door.
