By Annie HayesDiverse Flavours has launched Scots Gold Blended Scotch Whisky – set to make its debut at the upcoming TFWA Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.
Scots Gold will hit the market with two variants: a standard blend and an eight-year-old expression.Personally selected by Charles Edge, the owner of London-based company supplier Ethimex, the new range will hit the market with two variants: a standard blend and an eight-year-old expression.
In 2015 Ethimex launched its Charles Edge London subsidiary, which began a whisky ageing programme, destined for launch across the next 10 years – and has unveiled the Scots Gold line while the whiskies mature.
Scots Gold Blended Scotch Whisky is said to be “creamy and warming on the palate”, offering fruity and butterscotch notes on the palate, with a “long and complex” finish.
Scots Gold Blended Scotch Whisky 8 Year Old is “spicy, with a pleasing mouth tingle”, revealing “good richness and faint smoke” to finish on continued spice and soft fruit.
Charles Edge London is working with bartenders from iconic Asian bars to create signature cocktail recipes for Scots Gold, in a bid to “appeal to a younger and female customer”.
Both Scots Gold Scotch Whisky brands will be made available in 70ml and 1 litre bottles.
