Desi Daru reveals new-look bottles

Vodka brand Desi Daru has revamped the design of its bottles, which draw inspiration from Indian architecture.

Designed in the UK and made in Italy, the fresh look features a new shape, which, when viewed from the bottom, has similar visuals to a temple dome, thanks to the four wedges on each side of the bottle.

In addition, the cap on top and the coin engraved above the label are accented in gold, adding an opulent feel to the bottle, as well as paying tribute to the ‘cultural significance of gold in India’.

It also has a gradient colour scheme, which the brand says gives the bottle a ‘modern and sleek’ appearance.

Mohit Singh, founder of Desi Daru, said: “Our aim has always been to have a bespoke bottle that would blend the rich heritage of India with the contemporary vibes of Britain.

“This new bottle is a visual representation of that marriage – a tribute to both cultures, standing as a symbol of craftsmanship and sophistication.”

The design overhaul completes a big debut year for the brand, having gained a Harvey Nichols listing, found a home on the shelves of various London bars, and picked up Master and Taste Master medals for its mango expression at The Vodka Masters 2023.

The vodka is made from a fusion of British and Indian ingredients, sourced from the jungles of Maharashtra, India, and the English countryside.

Desi Daru’s portfolio includes its flagship original vodka as well as the mango-flavoured expression.

The new bottles retail for £39 (US$49) on Amazon.
