Rosewood London appoints Siska as bar manager

Martin Siska has been appointed bar manager at Rosewood London’s Scarfes BarSiska brings with him more than ten years’ experience in the high-end and hotel bar industry, and joins the team after launching Dry Martini London last year.
He will now work with the Scarfes Bar team to develop a new cocktail menu, set for launch in 2017.
Matthias Roeke, Rosewood London managing director, said: “We are delighted to have Martin on board, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to Scarfes Bar.
“Martin’s move means an exciting and renewed drinks offering here and we very much look forward to unveiling the menu in due course. Martin’s feel for innovation and artistry signals a new liquid journey that the team and myself cannot wait to embark on.”
Originally from Slovakia, Siska first moved to London ten years ago and started his career at D&D’s Pont De La Tour Restaurant. He then moved on to The Donovan Bar at Brown’s Hotel where he was promoted to head bartender after just one year.
In 2015, he spent four months working directly with Javier de las Muelas of Dry Martini in Barcelona, before launching its first UK outpost, Dry Martini London, as bar manager.
Siska says he views mixology as art, and is looking forward to incorporating new ingredients and research into the offering at Scarfes Bar.
