Avallen Spirits has published its Bee More Report 2022

The Avallen Bee More Report is the Calvados producer’s self-publication of its environmental impact from 1 May 2021 to 31 April 2022.

The report looks at the firm’s carbon emissions and tree-planting efforts, as well as its bee conservation work.

During the 12-month period, Avallen has sequestered almost 50 tonnes of carbon dioxide through its production process. It also became a B Corp-certified organisation.

The brand was one of the first global partners with Ecospirits. Plus, the company has cut the carbon intensity of Avallen sold by almost 5%.

Tim Etherington-Judge, co-founder of Avallen Spirits, said: “The Bee More Report is an important snapshot of where we are as a business, setting a benchmark for us to improve our business and its environmental performance.

“If we’re to have a truly meaningful impact, however, we need to bring people on this journey with us, so for me the most important part of the whole document is the section giving advice on how people can take meaningful action on the climate and biodiversity crisis.”

Other notable developments highlighted in the report include the launch of a paper bottle with Frugal Pac, and winning the ‘Sustainability Award’ at the drinks business’ Green Awards.
