Atlas appoints new head bartender
Lidiyanah ‘Yana’ K has been promoted to the role of head bartender at the acclaimed Atlas bar in Singapore.
K takes over the position from Jesse Vida, who will leave the venue at the end of this month.
K has been an integral part of the Atlas team since she joined as a barista for the bar’s opening five years ago.
Her career progressed and she was eventually promoted to the role of assistant head bartender.
She was also awarded the title of gin researcher, and given the responsibility of managing Atlas’ ‘iconic’ gin collection. The collection consists of 1,300 bottles from around the world, housed in an eight-metre-tall gin tower.
K also hosts monthly tasting panels and Juniper Society sessions for the venue.
Atlas, founded in Singapore’s Bugis neighbourhood, offers an all-day drinking and dining experience.
A spokesperson for the bar said: “Atlas is excited about this new chapter and to continue the team’s great work in making Atlas a world-class home for fine drinking with a home-grown talent at the helm.”
In January this year, Atlas debuted its new Art Deco-inspired cocktail menu, called Sense of Place.
