Wine & Spirits Show offers free trade session

Drinks lovers will be able to wash down Paxton & Whitfield cheeses with handcrafted Spanish brandy at the upcoming Wine & Spirits Show – which is free for the trade to attend.

Spanish Oak will be one of many exhibitors at The Wine & Spirits Show

The event is a collaboration between The Spirits Business and the drinks business and will take place on 12 and 13 October at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London.

Over the course of the two days, the event will bring leading wine and spirits brands together for an exciting programme of discussion, tasting and learning.

An exclusive trade session on the Friday from 1-5pm will be free to attend for industry members and will feature a number of exclusive masterclasses and seminars.

Consumers are welcome from 1-9pm on Friday 12 October and 12-8pm on Saturday 13 October. Tickets to the two-day event are available for consumers to buy at a 50% discount for a limited time only.

The Wine & Spirits Show will encompass two halls – one dedicated to wine and one to spirits. There will be a New Products Zone as well as a Global Spirits Masters Tasting Zone, where visitors can sample award-winning expressions from the acclaimed blind-tasting competition.

World-renowned cheese supplier Paxton & Whitfiled, which holds a Royal Warrant, has recently signed up as an exhibitor at the show and will present a large range of artisan cheeses from across Europe and the British Isles.

In particular, visitors should look out for Paxton’s shop-made Brie de Meaux aux Truffes and its Cropwell Bishop Finest Stilton Jars topped with clarified butter.

The cheesmonger joins a number of drinks exhibitors at the show, including Chelsea Royal Gin, The Lakes Distillery and Spanish Oak – a renowned Spanish brandy producer.

This will mark the first time Spanish Oak will present its brandies outside of Spain. The brand, which launched in 2016, is particularly excited to showcase its Spanish Oak Brandy Solera, distilled from Pedro Ximenez wine and aged in used American oak barrels.
