Seedlip secures Waitrose listing

Non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ Seedlip has gained a listing in British supermarket chain Waitrose.

The Seedlip range – Seedlip Garden 108, Seedlip Spice 94 and Seedlip Grove 42 – will be available to buy from select Waitrose stores, and online at Waitrose.com.

Grove 42, which launched in July 2018, will be exclusively available through the UK retailer.

Seedlip founder Ben Branson said: “A national retail portfolio presence in Waitrose, driven by increased public demand, is a huge milestone for both Seedlip and the category. Very exciting!”

All three expressions of Seedlip are priced at £27.99 (US$36.80) for a 700ml bottle.

Since its launch in November 2015, Seedlip has become available in more than 250 restaurants worldwide as well as leading cocktail bars such as The Dead Rabbit in New York and London’s Dandelyan.

Seedlip is preparing to launch its first cocktail book in November 2018, featuring 100 non-alcoholic recipes for drinks enthusiasts to recreate at home.

Head of new brands Claire Smith-Warner told The Spirits Business earlier this year that she is working on three new “stand­alone” brands for 2018.
