Cathy Sullivan, marketing manager for Tullamore Dew Visitor Centre, said: “A year in the making, it’s been a creative journey to get us where we are, and we’re extremely excited to launch our new tours. There’s something engaging and fun here for everyone – from those with little knowledge of whiskey to true whiskey explorers.

“We’re especially excited to launch the Ultimate Distillery Experience. Our distillery is a working one, and really offers an authentic insight into what it is that makes Tullamore Dew, a whiskey of True Character. Our aim is to offer real enthusiasts, who are as passionate about whiskey as we are, exclusive access like they’ve never experienced.”

Tullamore Distillery is located on a 58-acre site in Clonminch, on the outskirts of County Offaly. The build took more than 1,200 specialist engineers and construction workers a combined 475,000 days to complete. The distillery laid down 22,392 casks in its first year, with production capabilities set to double in 2016.
