Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve expands to the US
Scotch whisky brand The Glenlivet has extended the availability of its Founder’s Reserve expression, which is now on shelf in the US.
The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is now on sale in the USA tribute to the brand’s founder, George Smith, current master distiller Alan Winchester selected aged oak casks and American first-fill oak casks to create the variant.
This is said to deliver a smooth, creamy sweetness with subtle flavours and complex fruity tones.
“Founder’s Reserve is the ultimate tribute to George Smith, while also remaining true to the quality that Scotch-lovers expect from The Glenlivet,” commented Laurent Cutier, director of Scotch portfolio at Pernod Ricard USA.
“We are very proud to introduce this new expression and celebrate the man who pioneered our vision as being a brand that is the original standard setter in the single malt category and beyond.”
The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is bottled at 40% abv will be available from selected retailers at an RRP of US$44.99 per 750ml.
Earlier this month, Chivas Brothers declared that after selling more than one million cases in 2014, The Glenlivet has “become the world’s number one single malt Scotch whisky brand”.
