Testino captures Hunger Games actor for Ciroc

Having recently partnered with The Macallan, revered photographer Mario Testino has now lent his talents to Diageo’s new international campaign for Ciroc vodka, starring Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin.

Famed fashion photographer Mario Testino photographed actor Sam Claflin for Ciroc’s new international marketing campaign

Known for his iconic pictures of Kate Moss and Princess Diana, Peruvian photographer Testino captured the image of up-and-coming British actor Claflin as part of the new Ciroc On Arrival marketing campaign.

The photographer had recently partnered with Edrington’s The Macallan Scotch whisky for the fifth edition of its Masters of Photography series.

Promoting Ciroc as the vodka you celebrate with when you have “made it”, the On Arrival campaign will launch on 1 December and run for 18 months.

Testino will take pictures of “those realising their dreams” in London, Brazil, Ibiza, South Africa and the Alps. The first photo shoot took place in in the London Edition Hotel and features rising star Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair in the latest Hunger Games installments.

“Ciroc is all about celebration,” said Nick Temperley, head of Reserve brands at Diageo GB. “It’s the most distinctive luxury vodka for sophisticated nights out and much of our marketing is designed to enhance this.

“So we’re really excited to announce the Ciroc On Arrival campaign with world-renowned photographer, Mario Testino and featuring British actor Sam Claflin, inviting people to celebrate with Ciroc vodka this holiday season.”

The campaign will initially run in the UK with outdoor advertising across London’s Canary Wharf, followed by at Piccadilly.

Rapper P. Diddy, co-owner of Ciroc, also recently took over New York’s Times Square for the launch of the brand’s Step Into The Circle campaign.
