AnCnoc ends Peter Arkle partnership with Warehouses
By Becky PaskinScotch brand anCnoc is releasing its final expression in the series of limited edition single malts crafted in collaboration with renowned Scottish illustrator Peter Arkle.
anCnoc Warehouses is the last collaboration from the brand with artist Peter ArkleWarehouses, inspired by those at Knockdu Distillery, features a contemporary design on the bottle label depicting the “magic” contained within the buildings.
According to Arkle, anCnoc would not be the same without the historic buildings and so chose to give them centre stage on his final collaboration with the brand.
“My illustrations aim to capture how special and full of character anCnoc whisky is, and I couldn’t have done my job without the inspiration of the Knockdu Distillery and its team,” he said.
The Warehouses release will be limited to 1,000 cases across the UK, US, Germany, Russia, Japan, Taiwan and Canada, with bottles available for an RRP of £49.99.
The partnership with Arkle launched in 2012 and has included a range of limited edition designs from bricks to an illustration of anCnoc’s Scotch whisky casks.
“(This is) a great way to end such a special partnership and we’re extremely proud of our four limited editions and the success they have enjoyed,” said Gillian Gibson, anCnoc brand manager. “It has been wonderful working with Peter and his designed have perfectly captured anCnoc’s modern side with a nod to its time-honoured traditions.”
