Jack Daniel’s releases cider-flavoured winter bottling
By Amy HopkinsBrown-Forman has advanced its foray into the flavoured whiskey market with the release of a new Jack Daniel’s seasonal variant – Winter Jack.
Winter Jack joins Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey in the brand’s flavoured whiskey portfolioA blend of winter spices, apple cider liqueur and Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey, Winter Jack will hit shelves in Canada and 30 US states this month.
Jack Daniel’s said of the new release: “Winter Jack is based on an original family recipe from Jack’s home in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
“The taste is reminiscent of apple pie complemented with Tennessee Whiskey and seasonal spices, with a finish of toasted oak and vanilla.”
Jack Daniel’s recommends that Winter Jack is served warm in order to release the “aroma of warm apple cider, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and whiskey”.
The new release joins Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey in the brand’s flavoured whiskey portfolio.
However, Jack Daniel’s is not the only whiskey catering to the US market’s burgeoning taste for cider, following the launch of Red Stag Hardcore Cider Bourbon.
