The Naked Margarita debuts in UK
UK-based Agave Artisan’s inaugural release is a ready-to-serve (RTS) Naked Margarita made with single estate Tequila and organic Mexican citrus.

The Naked Margarita is described as a ‘luxury, sessionable cocktail to be drunk like a bottle of wine’.
‘Sharing bottles’ of The Naked Margarita are now available online, with a rollout across select retailers and the on-trade planned for later this year under a partnership with London-based distributor DrinksOne.
Bottled at 10.1% ABV and priced at £49 ($US66) per 700ml, The Naked Margarita is packaged in an ‘agave fan gift box’.
Husband-and-wife team Lydia Ward and Chris Pratt developed the new RTS.
Ward, co-founder and CEO of Agave Artisan, said: “We didn’t set out to create just another ready-to-drink cocktail – we wanted to create a margarita worthy of the Tequila inside. After travelling through Jalisco and seeing the incredible care, heritage and craftsmanship behind authentic Tequila, we were inspired to create a brand that honoured those traditions while elevating the category.
“That meant taking the harder route: developing our own ultra-premium Tequila, spending four years refining every detail of the recipe and obsessing over every detail, from the bottle and cans to the overall experience.
“We wanted every element to feel intentional and to create something beautifully simple that people would be proud to share, whether around the dinner table, at a summer gathering or celebrating life’s special moments.”
The Naked Margarita range is set to grow in the coming months, with the introduction of ready-to-drink (RTD) 125ml cans including the brand’s Classic Margarita, jalapeño-infused Verde, Rosalita made with strawberry and black pepper, and a ‘functional’ non-alcoholic variant with L-theanine and magnesium.
The alcoholic RTD cans are all presented at 10.1% ABV with an RRP of £4.45 (US$6), while the zero-ABV version has an RRP of £3.95 (US$5.50).
The brand plans to expand into international markets before the end of 2026.
IWSR research indicates that the global value of the RTD category surpassed vodka in 2025, with spirits-based options driving 3% annual growth.
UK sales of RTDs surpassed £700 million in the off-trade and reached almost £200 million in the on-trade during the same period.
The category is the only spirits segment predicted to grow in 2026.
