The Studio Lates podcast, produced in collaboration with Fever-Tree, is a continuation of the Studio Originals educational talks and tastings that have taken place at Mr Lyan Studio in London since 2025.

Each of the five upcoming episodes will feature guests from the culinary and hospitality worlds, who were interviewed to ‘explore the complexity of what we understand as flavour, showcase their exceptional talents, and investigate how we can be innovative in the industry’.

Chetiyawardana, Mr Lyan Studio founder, said: “Across the Mr Lyan world we’ve always been excited by new ideas, conversations, and sets of knowledge that can push excitement, togetherness and delicious things forwards.

“We’ve been fortunate to be part of an amazing network of people doing brilliant things, and many of the conversations we’ve had in these spaces feel globally applicable, and always inspiring, so we’ve been so keen to bring this to life for a wider audience for some time now.

“Of course, we get to share these in person at the Mr Lyan Studio Lates events, but launching the podcast means these incredible conversations can act as inspiration for those further afield.”

The live audience for the recordings is served snacks and cocktails from the Mr Lyan Studio creative team, which highlight ingredients and techniques covered by the guests.

Episode one, titled ‘Salt & Vinegar: The Flavour Powerhouses’, features Dornoch Craft Vinegar founder Maddy Norval, Gregorie Marshall from Blackthorn Salt, and food writer Angela Clutton.

Drinks created to accompany the episode include The Long Ferment Highball made with whisky from Scotland’s Dornoch Distillery, rhubarb shrub, green peppercorn and Fever-Tree Soda Water; and Rojak Gibson which contains vodka, vermouth, Rojak vinegar & a Blackthorn Salt pickled onion.

Podcast host and Mr Lyan Studio brand strategist director Masing said: “Our guests bring a perspective around flavour that hopefully inspires the audience and helps them to think differently. They also allow us at Mr Lyan Studio to riff and flex our experimental muscles to come up with really fun and delicious flavour combinations – bringing together different worlds and ideas through cocktails and snacks.”

Subsequent episodes will feature cider/perry maker and distiller Tom Oliver, Sunny Hodge of South London wine bar Diogenes the Dog, and frequent Mr Lyan collaborator chef Chet Sharma from Mayfair restaurant BiBi.

The trailer for Studio Lates is available to steam now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The first episode will debut on Tuesday 21 July.

Mr Lyan Studio is a strategic consultancy for the drinks and hospitality industries.

In addition to his work at Mr Lyan Studio, Chetiyawardana has bars in London, Amsterdam, Washington DC and New York City.

Lyaness, on London’s South Bank, became the first bar to be awarded three pins by The Pinnacle Guide in 2024.

Super Lyan in Amsterdam took the number 42 spot on the inaugural Europe’s 50 Best Bars list released earlier this year.

In February 2025, Chetiyawardana launched the food and drink travel series Mr Lyan’s Taste Trips which saw him travel to locations including Scotland, Mexico and Japan.
