London’s Eagle Bar opens terrace
By Lauren BowesThe Eagle Bar at The Chancery Rosewood hotel has revealed a new terrace space with views of Hyde Park.

The bar opened in September 2025 and appointed Maura Lawrence Milia as general manager in January. Liana Oster, director of bars, leads Eagle Bar with Lawrence Milia.
Less than a year after launch, Eagle Bar has unveiled the Upper West terrace and repositioned its existing bar space as Upper East.
The two bars are located symmetrically around a central six-story atrium and cater to ‘different moods, rituals and styles of socialising’.
Upper West is described as a ‘refined apéritif destination’ centred around the terrace. The bar will offer DJ set entertainment from Thursday to Saturday.
The beverage offering revolves around wine, Champagne and a curated list of aperitif-style drinks. The cocktail selection is divided into sparkling and still and features the Upper West Spritz, made with Cocchi Americano, guava, strawberry and cream.
The Palomina is a ‘sunny’ riff on Paloma, combining Patrón Reposado Tequila, watermelon, grapefruit, lime, chilli and Pol Roger Rosé Brut.
Upper East, meanwhile, continues the original Eagle Bar ethos, which is described as ‘a contemporary interpretation of the endurance and heritage of American bars’.
This section of the bar celebrates ‘precision cocktail making’ and premium spirits, and offers live piano.
Cocktails are based on American classics, storied institutions and cultural circles.
Highlights include a riff on a Whisky Smash made with Eagle Rare 10YO Bourbon, lemon, Mouneyrac pear and mint, and the Algonquin, with Sazerac Rye, Talisker 10, Cocchi Americano, pineapple and tobacco.
Lawrence Milia said: “Upper West and Upper East offer two very distinct spaces and experiences while keeping the utmost hospitality and sense of connection at the centre of what we deliver.
“We are fortunate to provide our guests with such choice, catering for different tastes and occasions always elevated by our stunning space and remarkable views of London.”
