Desi Daru’s Saturn headlines Vesper Bar menu
By Miona MadsenBritish-Indian vodka brand Desi Daru has landed a spot on the new Planetarium cocktail menu at The Dorchester’s Vesper Bar.

The new signature menu at London’s Vesper Bar features 12 serves, including three hero cocktails: Saturn, Cha, and Haumea.
Created by the bar’s team, Planetarium draws inspiration from the bar’s namesake, Vesper, which is the Latin term for the ‘evening star,’ now known as the planet Venus.
The collection channels planetary myths, with each drink designed to evoke the colours, flavours, and stories of the cosmos.
Saturn, made with Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka, is served in bespoke planet-shaped glassware adorned with its own ‘ring’.
Denise Elisei, head mixologist at the Vesper Bar, said: “When creating the Saturn cocktail, Desi Daru Mango Vodka was the natural starting point. Its bright mango character doesn’t just add fruitiness; it gives the drink its identity.
“I wanted to build around that, layering the warmth of Kaveri Ginger Liqueur, the delicate tannins of Ceylon tea infused with dried mango, and the bittersweet citrus notes of Savoia Orancio.
“The result is a cocktail where every ingredient has its place, creating a balance that feels both vibrant and refined, while the vodka remains the thread that brings everything together.”
The Alphonso Mango vodka is distilled using English winter wheat and sun-ripened mangoes from Ratnagiri.
Mohit Singh, co-founder of Desi Daru, added: “To see Desi Daru at the heart of a cocktail at The Dorchester is a genuine milestone for us. The Vesper Bar is one of the most storied rooms in London, and Saturn is exactly the kind of serve we love – one that puts our Alphonso mango front and centre rather than hiding it.
“Inspired in India, born in Britain, and now with a place among the planets in Mayfair.”
B Corp-certified Desi Daru Vodka is available in approximately 140 Waitrose stores.
It can also be found in many London bars and restaurants, including Tayēr + Elementary, As Above, So Below, and Bandra Bhai.
