Bacardi-owned Tequila Cazadores has introduced its first infused expression, adding a tropical pineapple twist to its portfolio.

The infused Tequila was developed by master distiller José Miguel Escobar using the brand’s 100% Blue Agave blanco Tequila.

The launch of the ‘versatile’ tropical expression is said to meet the growing demand for fruit-forward spirits while enhancing at-home cocktail making.

Jay Needham, Bacardi’s senior global brand director for Tequila Cazadores and agave spirits, said: “This launch marks an exciting expansion for Tequila Cazadores as our first-ever infused Tequila. Pineapple was a natural choice for the brand, driven by its growing popularity in cocktail culture and deep roots in Mexican cuisine and celebration.

“With Cazadores Pineapple Infused Tequila, we’re offering consumers a fresh, approachable way to enjoy elevated cocktails, from a Pineapple Margarita to simple serves that fit a variety of occasions. ”

The 35% ABV pineapple Tequila is said to work well in the brand’s signature Serranita cocktail, which pairs it with simple syrup, lime, pineapple juice, and Serrano chilli peppers.

Cazadores Pineapple Infused Tequila will be available nationwide in the US through retailers and select on-trade locations in two formats: a 750ml bottle retailing for US$21.99 and a 375ml ‘half-bottle’ for US$14.99.

Cazadores has been part of Bacardi’s portfolio since 2002.

In addition to the new pineapple expression, the Tequila brand’s range includes a blanco, reposado, añejo, and extra añejo.

Last week, Bacardi acquired the remaining stake in Teeling Irish whiskey, making it the sole owner of the brand.
