Gin and wine combine for Nicholson Pink Rosé Spritz

London-based Nicholson Gin has introduced a signature Spritz serve for summer at 78 Nicholson’s pubs across the UK.

The serve pairs Nicholson The Original London Dry Gin with Bijou Rosé, fresh lime and soda, creating ‘a light, fruit-forward’ profile.

The Pink Rosé Spritz is said to reconnect two significant parts of the Nicholson legacy.

William Nicholson, a key figure behind Nicholson spirits, played a pivotal role in establishing the Nicholson’s pub concept in the 19th century. The pub estate is now part of Mitchells & Butlers.

Alex Johns, CEO of Nicholson, commented on the partnership: “This brings together two parts of the Nicholson story that grew up side by side.

“There’s huge heritage behind both the gin and the pubs, but the serve [Pink Rosé Spritz] itself is deliberately contemporary – lighter, refreshing and built around the Spritz occasion that consumers are actively seeking out.”

Nicholson’s The Original London Dry Gin claims to already be one of the best-selling gin brands within the Nicholson’s pub estate.

Freddie Copestick, head of sales at Nicholson, added: “This is about creating a serve that works commercially for pubs but also feels culturally relevant. Spritz serves keep growing because they fit the way people want to drink today – more refreshing, more sessionable, more social.”

Following a recent relaunch, Nicholson has expanded its range to include premium spirits, draught cocktails, ready-to-drink cocktails, and experiential hospitality partnerships.

In addition to the Nicholson’s pub estate, the company has partnered with UK venues such as Chelsea FC, The Oval, Ascot Festival, and Lusty Glaze Beach.
