Freddie Copestick launches brand incubator
By Miona MadsenFormer Freixenet manager and Nicholson head of sales, Freddie Copestick, has founded Copestick Drinks Co, which focuses on building and scaling international drinks brands.

The new brand builder is said to offer ‘powerful’ route-to-market support across the UK and key global territories for a curated portfolio of high-quality wine, spirits, and other beverage brands.
Copestick Drinks Co offers comprehensive commercial support, including market entry strategies, brand development, sales execution, and distribution management.
With strong relationships across retail, on-trade, and wholesale channels, the company is said to be well-positioned to create new opportunities for both emerging and established producers.
The business’ founder has a proven track record of driving revenue and profit growth for brand owners. Most recently, he served as head of sales at London-based Nicholson, where he helped deliver triple-digit revenue growth.
Copestick explained: “Copestick Drinks Co has been created to offer something genuinely impactful to brand owners looking to grow in competitive markets. By aligning closely with partners and key customers, Copestick Drinks Co has the main aim of delivering tangible results and long-term value.
“Working with Alex [Johns, CEO] and the Nicholson team since January 2025 has been a defining experience. Together, we grew revenue by more than 330% last year. I’m grateful for their support in launching Copestick Drinks Co and delighted that Nicholson will be a foundational partner as we build the business.”
The company’s strategy is based on hands-on execution, supported by strategic brand positioning and data-driven decision-making.
Johns commented: “Freddie has been a brilliant force at Nicholson since January 2025, and I couldn’t be more pleased to see him launch Copestick Drinks Co. The drinks industry needs more operators who combine commercial discipline with genuine brand understanding, and Freddie has both in spades.
“This is a positive move for both of us. Nicholson gains a committed, specialist partner with skin in the game, and Freddie has the platform to build something significant. We’re backing him fully.”
Copestick Drinks Co is now open to select partnerships with drinks brands seeking representation and scalable growth in the UK and beyond.
