Cotswolds debuts English aperitivo
By Miona MadsenEnglish spirits producer Cotswolds Distillery has launched Wild Spritz to tap into the aperitivo occasion.

The aperitivo will officially launch at the opening night of the distillery’s new bar, the Hidden Still, tomorrow (22 May).
Visitors to the new Hidden Still Bar will have the opportunity to enjoy the product, along with a selection of gin and whisky cocktails curated by mixologist Ollie Morris.
Wild Spritz is the newest addition to the distillery’s spirits portfolio, which includes gins, whiskies, amaros and liqueurs.
It is the distillery’s interpretation of a bittersweet English aperitivo, crafted using classic local botanicals such as lavender, hops, and lemon balm, as well as bright, distilled fresh orange peel.
Daniel Szor, founder and CEO of The Cotswolds Distillery, said: “Cotswolds Wild Spritz is an exciting new addition to our drinks portfolio, and we are delighted to be launching it at our new distillery bar, The Hidden Still.
“Cotswolds Wild Spritz is perfect for the long, relaxed drinking occasion. What better place to enjoy it than at our new bar, situated in the heart of the beautiful English countryside?”
The aperitivo is bottled at 30% ABV and is best enjoyed paired with sparkling wine and a splash of soda. Its label features floral and botanical designs.
Cotswolds Wild Spritz is now available on the distillery’s website and in its three shops: Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, and at the Cotswolds Distillery in Stourton, near Shipston-on-Stour.
The aperitivo retails for £25 (US$33) for a 700ml bottle.
