Vodka continues to rank as one of the world’s biggest spirits categories, and that status isn’t down to standing still.

Opportunities remain plentiful in the category, and Stock Spirits Group is ready to take advantage, particularly in the mainstream space, with standard and entry-premium vodkas.

In Eastern Europe, the group is at the top of the category, accounting for approximately a quarter of the region’s clear-vodka volumes, and a third in flavoured vodka in the mainstream segment, according to IWSR 2024 data.

While the group is well positioned in its home markets, with a range of strong local brands and deep distribution networks, it also has its sights on wider expansion. This means looking outside its traditional base to places like France and Germany, where Stock Spirits has heightened its vodka presence in recent years.

Its Żołądkowa De Luxe vodka has launched in both markets, and been backed significantly, with dedicated ‘honest vodka’ media campaigns and multi-channel marketing activity. In Germany, demand for De Luxe has seen the brand grow into one of the fastest-growing vodkas in both the on- and off-trade (Nielsen data for 12 months to the end of January 2026 for off-trade, and GES data Q3 2025 for on-trade). Stock Spirits believes the combination of quality and an accessible price point has been a driving factor in the success of its brands in the mainstream vodka space.

To keep growth trending in the right direction, innovation is central to the group’s thinking, particularly in regard to Żołądkowa, its flagship vodka produced at the group’s Lublin facility, said to be one of the largest and most advanced vodka distilleries in Poland. The brand’s position as a category leader is being maintained with new flavours, formats, and product extensions. Different parts of the range appeal to different consumers. De Luxe vodka marks a focus on distillation at its facility in Lublin, where the group has full control of the process from grain to the final spirit, while vodka liqueur Gorzka showcases a unique bitter orange maceration process and flavour profile.

Żołądkowa: new formats

In Europe, new formats and products are also being explored to bring Żołądkowa to more people. The brand’s De Luxe bottle, for instance, has shed its weight by 20%, using less glass, and also lowering the environmental impact of its packaging.

Furthermore, the brand launched Ginger Lime and Berry Spritz ready-to-drink (RTD) variants in Germany, while in France, a range of Żołądkowa vodka-based liqueurs have been introduced, including peach and coffee expressions that both sit at 18% ABV.

Regarding vodka itself, a rye vodka is being developed as part of an Expert Vodka Series, which will be released in Poland later this year. As more flavours, formats, and products come into play, Stock Spirits Group has found a formula to keep its established vodka brands relevant while attracting new consumers into the category.
