Casa Azul Spirits names Paul Stacey president

Tequila maker Casa Azul Spirits has promoted chief financial officer (CFO) Paul Stacey to the newly created position of president.

Stacey joined Casa Azul in November 2024 as CFO and will continue his CFO responsibilities in his new role as president.

Stacey brings more than 25 years of domestic and global experience across finance, accounting and operations to his new expanded role.

“Paul is a proven strategic leader who has been instrumental to our success,” said Lance Collins, founder and chairman of Casa Azul Spirits.

“As we scale the business and expand our footprint, his ability to pair financial discipline with operational execution makes him the perfect person to guide Casa Azul into its next chapter.”

In his new position, Stacey will oversee day-to-day company operations and continue to accelerate brand reach, build market presence, and establish Casa Azul as a leader in the premium Tequila category.

Stacey’s promotion comes a month after Casa Azul CEO Dennis Carr left the business to join Cobblestone Brands as its US president.

Stacey added: “I’m excited to step into this role as president at such a pivotal time for Casa Azul.

“We have built a strong foundation across the business, and I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our operations, support continued expansion, and build on the momentum behind the brand.”

Made from 100% Blue Weber agave, the Casa Azul portfolio includes blanco, resposado and añejo expressions. The range is also USDA-certified organic.

Last summer, Casa Azul moved its production home to La Roca (NOM 1646), a state-of-the-art distillery in Jalisco. It was previous located at Las Américas (NOM 1480). Both sites are run by the Montes family.

The company has attracted investment from several famous names from the sports world, including NFL stars Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski.
