The company is seeking 15 to 20 investors to participate in the launch and initial production of the distillery project, with a 1% stake priced at £300,000 (US$405,170).

The equity represents direct ownership through an officially registered shareholding.

Each partner will receive an annual allocation of four casks for the first five years of production, totalling 20 casks, along with a portfolio of additional exclusive privileges.

Additionally, co-owners will receive exclusive bottlings reserved just for them, along with invitations to annual events at the distillery.

After five years, investors can sell their stake back to the distillery for £400,000 (US$540,220) or remain as partners for a longer term.

Founded by Brave New Spirits’ Adam Hochul and Alex Springensguth, Witchburn will be the first new distillery to be built in Scotland’s Campbeltown region in decades.

Springensguth commented on the programme: “This is not simply an investment opportunity. It is a unique chance to become part of a distillery at the very moment it comes to life to help shape its future, to share in its success, and to enjoy a range of exclusive benefits that reflect true ownership, while carrying a piece of Campbeltown’s legacy forward.”

The distillery is located on the former NATO and US Navy Seals base at the Royal Air Force site in Machrihanish.

After receiving planning permission in 2023, the distillery equipment has now been delivered and building modifications have begun. This will enable distillation to start within the next few months.

Witchburn will operate entirely free from fossil fuels and is designed to accommodate multiple distilling styles, including recreating traditional, high-temperature production commonly associated with direct-fire distillation.

The distillery will produce unpeated, lightly peated and heavily peated spirits, with capacity to distil 2.7 million litres of pure alcohol annually.
