Jeptha Creed names operations VP
By Rupert HohwielerAutumn Nethery, co-owner of Jeptha Creed, has moved into the role of vice-president of operations at the Kentucky distillery.

Autumn co-owns the distillery with her mother, Joyce Nethery, who is also the master distiller.
Autumn’s former role at the distillery was head of marketing and sales. Her new position coincides with the distillery’s 10th anniversary this year.
She said: “I’m excited to take on this expanded role as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. Our team has ambitious plans for 2026, and I look forward to strengthening our operations and elevating the experiences that make Jeptha Creed so special.”
As vice-president of operations, Autumn will manage all parts of the business, such as its visitor centre, distillery, marketing and sales teams.
The team will host a lineup of anniversary events and refreshed distillery experiences throughout 2026, including live concerts.
The distillery is located in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and the owners use heirloom blood butcher corn from their 64 acres of farmland for their Bourbons. The brand operates under a ‘our farm to your glass’ principle.
The brand’s portfolio includes Bottled-in-Bond, Wheated, Four Grain and its trademark Red, White and Blue Bourbon.
Distillery tourism
The brand cited growth in 2025 despite industry headwinds.
Last year, it saw a 28% increase in distillery tourism year over year, which the team felt showed a broader shift towards experiential travel and a renewed curiosity about the origins and craftsmanship of Bourbon.
Joyce Nethery said: “As consumers become more intentional about what they drink, distillery tourism has become one of the most important ways we can tell our story. People want transparency, connection, and a deeper understanding of the craft, and we’re proud to offer that.”
The distillery joined the Estate Whiskey Alliance last year, which recognises whiskeys made from grains of which two-thirds must be sourced from estate-owned or controlled land.
The alliance includes big producers like Heaven Hill Brands alongside smaller farm distilleries like Jeptha Creed, Frey Ranch and Minden Mill.
“The Estate Whiskey Alliance brings credibility among a competitive Kentucky Bourbon landscape and gives consumers confidence in knowing exactly where our whiskey is grown and produced,” Joyce Nethery added.
