Chilco River Holdings buys Excuse Mixers
Bourbon and Tequila maker Chilco River Holdings has entered the ready-to-drink category by purchasing Excuse Mixers.
The Excuse Mixers portfolio comprises four signature flavours: Margarita, Strawberry Margarita, Paloma, and Purple Punch.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Will Lovett, chief executive officer of Chilco River Holdings, said: “The ready-to-drink cocktail category continues to see strong consumer adoption and increasing industry investment.
“With the acquisition of Excuse Mix Inc and the development of the Excuse Mixers brand, we believe the company is well positioned to participate in this growing segment while continuing to build a diversified portfolio of beverage alcohol brands.”
Chilco River Holdings is a beverage alcohol holding company focused on acquiring, developing, marketing and distributing premium alcohol brands.
Dinks data analyst IWSR forecasts the RTD category could account for 3% of the total alcohol beverage market by 2028.
