London-based spirits retailer The Whisky Exchange has unveiled the first four expressions in its new Zodiac Series.

The retailer’s second whisky collection draws inspiration from the 12 horoscopes and follows the release of The Seasons Series for 2024-2025.

The series will be released in three collectable sets, each containing an air, water, earth, and fire sign.

Launched on 2 February, the first release in The Zodiac Series features whiskies for the signs of Pisces, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. The remaining whiskies will be released throughout the coming year, allowing whisky lovers to enjoy their own custom star sign whisky.

Each single cask expression has been selected by The Whisky Exchange’s buying director, Dawn Davies, and own-label product manager Chris Bolton.

The whiskies have been chosen based on their flavour, quality, and their ability to reflect the unique characteristics commonly associated with each star sign. The each feature artwork by Jenna Morse of The Whisky Exchange design team.

First Release

Representing Pisces, the zodiac sign covering 19 February to 20 March, Glenglassaugh’s 10-year-old single malt from 2015 offers a maritime character with hints of sea spray.

The whisky is complemented by fresh and dried fruits, along with a gentle spice derived from its maturation in second-fill oloroso Sherry casks.

The Glenglassaugh is bottled at 55.4% ABV and retails for £87.95 (US$120).

People born from 21 March to 19 April can celebrate their Aries sign with a 12-year-old peated Staoisha Bunnahabhain from 2013 for £105 (US$143).

Offered at 53.7% ABV, the Islay whisky displays notes of smoky bacon, burning grass, orchard fruit, spice, roasted nuts, and singed caramel.

To represent Taurus (20 April-20 May), The Whisky Exchange chose a five-year-old Speyside single malt from Dailuaine.

Distilled in 2020 and bottled at 61% ABV, the whisky offers notes of toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla, and orchard fruit. The Dailuaine retails for £54.95 (US$75).

Finally, Gemini (21 May-2- June) comes alive with a 16-year-old single malt from Ardmore Distillery.

The 2009 vintage sits at 50.4% ABV, displaying notes of citrus and orchard fruit alongside malty biscuits and smoke. Ardmore Gemini retails for £79.95 (US$109).

All four expressions are now available exclusively at The Whisky Exchange, both in-store and online.
