Desi Daru swaps Nightcap for Speciality Brands in UK
British-Indian vodka Desi Daru has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in the UK with Speciality Brands, ending its partnership with Nightcap Brands.
Established in 2023 by Mohit Singh, Desi Daru’s range includes its Original and Alphonso Mango English wheat vodkas.
The B Corp-certified brand joins the distributor’s portfolio, which includes brands such as Nikka Whisky, Cocchi, Michter’s, Chichibu, Takamaka, Black Tot Rum, and Tapatio Tequila.
Chris Seale, managing director of Speciality Brands, said: “We were very impressed with the brand’s authentic story and the passion Mohit and his team have displayed in creating these standout vodkas.
“Desi Daru’s combination of British and Indian fusion, alongside its commitment to social impact, places it in a unique position within the ever-evolving vodka category. In just a few years, it has established a strong presence across key on- and off-trade accounts, and we’re excited to be growing the brand’s footprint in the UK market.”
With the new distribution partner, Desi Daru hopes to expand its nationwide presence in the UK further.

Singh also thanked previous UK distributor Nightcap Brands, which helped Desi Daru to secure a number of on-trade listings.
Desi Daru vodkas are featured on cocktail lists at renowned establishments such as Tayēr + Elementary, Novikov Restaurant & Bar, Sushisamba, Park Chinois, and Mandarin Oriental, as well as Michelin-recommended restaurants such as Kricket, Benares, BiBi, and Pahli Hill.
The brand’s ‘One Sip, One Day’ initiative promises that every 25ml measure provides clean drinking water for one person for an entire day. A single bottle funds a month’s worth of clean water for communities across India.
Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka also earned five Master medals at The Global Spirits Masters Competitions, along with the Taste Master award at The Vodka Masters 2023.
