Brother’s Bond touches down in UK

American whiskey brand Brother’s Bond Bourbon has officially launched in the UK through a distribution partnership with Maverick Drinks.

The launch brings the brand, founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, to a wider UK audience as part of its broader international growth strategy across Europe, the UAE and Asia.

Maverick Drinks will lead full national distribution of Brother’s Bond Bourbon across the UK on- and off-trade, with a strong focus on e-commerce.

The strategy is designed to introduce new consumers to American whiskey through an accessible style, while engaging established whisky drinkers through award-winning liquid, supported by education and targeted activation aligned with current consumption trends.

Brother’s Bond boasts a four-grain Bourbon portfolio, and via the distribution deal, the brand’s Bottled in Bond 7 Year Old Straight Bourbon, Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, Straight Bourbon, and American Blended Rye Whiskey will all be available in the UK through leading e-commerce platform Master of Malt and wholesale partner Master of Malt Trade.

“Interest in American whiskey is growing quickly in the UK, particularly as the whisky audience broadens and drinkers look for styles that offer the structure and craft they’re familiar with, while also remaining accessible and easy to enjoy,” said Juan-Marc Correia, director at Atom Group, parent company of Maverick Drinks and Master of Malt.

“Brother’s Bond Bourbon fits that moment well, and its 7 Year Old Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon, which earned Double Gold and a 98-point score at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, is a clear example of the quality we believe the UK trade and consumers will respond to.
