Barrell Craft Spirits sells Jeffersontown site
By Rupert HohwielerKentucky-based Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS) has sold its blending facility in Jeffersontown, which it opened in late 2023, to American Craft Bottling.

BCS said the decision ensures the company can meet future market needs and further its growth.
It did not disclose the financial terms of the sale. The deal is effective from today (2 February).
“We regularly refine our commercial strategy to stay ahead of evolving industry trends to support long-term growth,” said BCS founder Joe Beatrice. “While the economic environment has presented challenges across the spirits industry, it has sharpened our focus and reinforced the importance of proactive decision-making.”
BCS opened the state-of-the-art blending facility in Jeffersontown in 2023. At the time, it said the site would increase blending capacity by 500%, with eight blending tanks that hold 64,000 gallons of spirit.
The company will now consolidate blending operations at its old facility in Gilmore, which opened in 2013 and is said to have enough capacity to support current and future needs.
BCS will also invest in new equipment and technology for the original facility, which will expand its operations without disrupting ongoing work.
Beatrice added: “We’re grateful to our loyal fans and whiskey enthusiasts who have continued to support us with each release. We plan to continue bringing you the most innovative, creative, and complex products our industry has to offer in 2026 and beyond.”
The independent blender’s products are available in 49 US states, as well as in overseas markets such as Puerto Rico, the UK, South Korea, the Ukraine, and Australia.
The brand is known for showcasing different cask finishes at cask strength. Its Bourbons and ryes explore different distillation methods, barrels and ageing environments.
