Merry Christmas from The Spirits Business
By Melita KielyIt’s time for The Spirits Business team to down tools for a short Christmas break – but we’ll be back in 2026 ready to deliver more breaking news, exclusive interviews and thought-provoking features.

The editorial team will be back at their desks from Monday 5 January when we will begin our annual countdown of the top 50 most innovative new spirits launches from the past 12 months.
In January, we’ll also be sharing the spirits trends we predict will dominate 2026, alongside the results from the year’s inaugural blind tasting from The Global Spirits Masters Competitions: The Low & No Masters.
We do have a few pieces scheduled for the festive period, so do keep an eye on thespiritsbusiness.com and our social media platforms.
From all of us at The Spirits Business, a sincere thank you to our valued readers for your support and interest this year. And we hope everyone celebrating enjoys a restful Christmas and a successful, spirit-filled new year.
