The vodka brand will join Spiribam’s commercial and marketing organisation, benefitting from connections within the company’s portfolio and global network to pursue international growth.

Guillaume Rappeneau, Charles Beigbeder, and Frédéric Beigbeder, the founders of Le Philtre, will remain involved with the brand in creative and strategic advisory roles following the acquisition.

To maintain the brand’s vision and identity, Camille Sebbag-Barjon, managing director of Le Philtre, will also join Spiribam’s organisation. She will continue to manage the brand while ensuring strategic alignment internally.

Grégoire Gueden, CEO of Spiribam, said: “Welcoming Le Philtre Vodka into our portfolio is part of a broader strategic commitment to diversification. We are convinced that this distinctive, committed, and premium brand will find its rightful place within our ecosystem. We will mobilise our commercial strength, marketing expertise and international network to support its growth and visibility worldwide.”

Launched in 2020, Le Philtre 100% organic vodka is presented in blue-hued recycled glass decanters.

As a part of Spiribam’s portfolio, Le Philtre will benefit from access to the company’s distribution networks and international presence.

Spiribam’s brands are distributed globally through its subsidiaries in France, the US, and the UK, supported by partners in more than 60 countries.

The founders of Le Philtre said in a joint statement: “Since June 2020, Le Philtre has embodied a joyful revolution: combining pleasure with respect for the planet. Born from friendship, our project has always placed pleasure, innovation and boldness at its core.

“Joining Spiribam – a family group like ours, guided by strong values and a long-term vision – was a natural choice. Their marketing expertise and global distribution network provide an exceptional springboard for our vodka to continue its mission in France and abroad.”

They concluded: “Together, we will carry our ideas and innovations forward, while preserving the soul of our brand: an organic, French and festive vodka, a symbol of responsible hedonism. Let’s write a new page in our story and make Le Philtre a true icon of French art de vivre.”

Le Philtre joins Spiribam’s portfolio of rum brands, including Rhum Clément and Rhum JM from Martinique; Bounty, Chairman’s Reserve, and Admiral Rodney from Saint Lucia; and Arcane and Beach House from Mauritius.

Spiribam is the spirits arm of family-owned French firm Groupe Bernard Hayot (GBH).

In 2023, GBH agreed to buy UK-based spirits distributor Mangrove Global. GBH also owns French liqueur maker Joseph Cartron, which it acquired in 2021.
