Johnnie Walker Blue Label gets festive with Rahul Mishra
By Miona MadsenFashion designer Rahul Mishra has partnered with Johnnie Walker Blue Label to create a limited edition bottle for the Indian festive season.

The limited edition Blue Label was launched ahead of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, on 20 October.
For this year’s celebration, Johnnie Walker collaborated with Mishra, the first Indian fashion designer to be invited to showcase at Paris Haute Couture Week, to create a festive design.
Mishra is known for his embroidery, use of colour, and dedication to ‘slow fashion’ and ‘mindful luxury,’ as well as his support for local artisans.
Mishra commented on the collaboration: “Johnnie Walker Blue Label has been a symbol of luxury and celebration for decades – not only in India but across the world – and learning more about the time and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle has been a wonderful journey.
“Slowing the process of craft and creating a sustainable ecosystem for artisans is something close to my heart, so sharing my philosophy with a brand with centuries of heritage and a lineage of craftspeople has been very special.”
The limited edition design is said to symbolise ‘bright beginnings’. Mishra drew inspiration from native flora and fauna, which he describes as “blooming flowers and spirited animals.” The bottle design also features a vibrant festive night to symbolise the abundance and joy that lies ahead.

Dr Emma Walker, master blender of Johnnie Walker, said: “Johnnie Walker Blue Label is such a special Scotch whisky, and we’re proud that it takes pride of place at celebrations across the world.
“It has a rich, smooth and luxurious flavour profile – fresh citrus and rose petals, giving way to dark chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut wrapped in warming smoke – perfect for toasting special occasions or pairing with aromatic, sweet celebratory dishes.
“This beautiful design by Rahul complements how special the whisky inside each bottle is, and brings to life the joy of celebrating with those close to you.
“Working with such a progressive and thoughtful artist, who cares so deeply about the power of craftsmanship, also feels like a fitting recognition of the talented people who have ensured Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s unwavering quality over decades.”
The 2025 limited edition design will be available globally in select markets from September, retailing for around £225 (US$304) for a 700ml bottle at 40% ABV.
The launch will also feature a series of international Johnnie Walker Blue Label festive celebrations involving Indian talent and partners throughout October and November.
Last month, the blended Scotch whisky brand announced a multi-year partnership with singer Sabrina Carpenter, and launched Johnnie Walker Black Ruby Blackberry & Soda ready-to-drink cocktail in Australia.
