Kahlúa teams up with Dunkin’

Pernod Ricard-owned Kahlúa has created a Caramel Swirl Cream liqueur in collaboration with coffee and doughnut brand Dunkin’.

The launch of Caramel Swirl Cream was teased in June by Craig Niekerk, global vice-president of marketing for Kahlúa and Malibu.

The expression features Dunkin’s best-selling ‘flavour swirls’ blended with Kahlúa’s rum and 100% Arabica coffee from Veracruz, Mexico. The liqueur offers a ‘luscious’ pour with caramel notes of toffee, vanilla and dulce de leche, blended with hints of coffee and chocolate.

“Kahlúa is famous for great-tasting Espresso Martinis, and now we’re stirring up everyday occasions with Dunkin’ for something special,” said Caroline Begley, Kahlúa’s vice-president of marketing. “We’re proud to partner with this iconic coffee brand and continue the partnership in exciting ways.”

Kahlúa said the move is its ‘largest investment’ in the cream liqueur category. It suggests serving the new product neat or in a spiked cold brew cocktail.

Bottled at 16% ABV, the Caramel Swirl Cream liqueur is available in retailers across the US.

“This collaboration blends premium indulgence with everyday coffee culture,” added Dunkin’s vice-president of retail business development, Brian Gilbert. “Kahlúa Dunkin’ Caramel Swirl is a bold step in the cream liqueur category for both brands and a delicious new treat for coffee and cocktail enthusiasts alike.”

Kahlúa recently partnered with confectionery brand Tony’s Chocolonely to create the ‘world’s most indulgent Espresso Martini’, served in a glass made entirely of milk chocolate.

The brand also teamed up with Cardi B’s Whipshots to create a limited edition chocolate liqueur.

Kahlúa became the world’s third biggest-selling liqueur last year, according to The Brand Champions 2025 report. The brand recorded growth of 2.1% to 1.9 million cases in 2024.
