Glenfiddich and Aston Martin F1 unveil 16YO whisky
By Miona MadsenWilliam Grant & Sons is celebrating the first anniversary of the partnership between Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One team with two limited-edition single malt whiskies, including a 16-year-old.

Glenfiddich partnered with the British car manufacturer’s Formula One Team late last year, unveiling a 65-year-old single malt, which launched exclusively at Harrods this July.
The two new expressions, Glenfiddich 16-year-old and a travel retail exclusive 19-year-old, were unveiled just days after the duo’s global partnership announcement at The Monterey Car Week in California, US, on 14 August.
The new 16-year-old was aged in a combination of American oak wine casks, new American barrels, and second-fill Bourbon casks, resulting in notes of maple syrup, caramelised ginger, fresh fruit salad, and sweet cream on the palate.
Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich malt master, said: “At Glenfiddich, we’re committed to creating exceptional whiskies that honour tradition while embracing innovation. The Glenfiddich 16-year-old is a true testament to this philosophy.
“It combines craftsmanship and precision in a whisky that invites exploration and discovery, much like the journey of our partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It’s a celebration of blending tradition with the thrill of innovation.”
Glenfiddich Aston Martin Formula One 16-year-old will be available globally from September 2025: offered at 43% ABV with a suggested retail price of US$75.
Claudia Falcone, global brand director of Glenfiddich, commented on the release of the 16-year-old: “This release marks an exciting milestone in our journey with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. Through this collaboration, we invite enthusiasts worldwide to engage with these iconic brands in bold new ways and create memorable moments that reach far beyond the racetrack.
“This limited-edition bottling is just the beginning as we continue to write the next chapter together.”
Jefferson Slack, managing director at Aston Martin Formula One Team, added: “In this next chapter, Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One Team come together to honour the first year of our partnership with a limited-edition 16-year-old bottling. A true symbol of craftsmanship and performance, the exclusive product further cements the coming together of our two iconic brands.”
Travel retail exclusive
In addition to the 16-year-old, Glenfiddich and Aston Martin have released a 19-year-old single malt for the travel retail channel, also available from September.
Sporting the same design as its younger sibling, the 19-year-old is also bottled at 43% ABV.
The whisky was matured in American and European oak, as well as Montilla wine casks, resulting in notes of Seville oranges and warm, woody spices on the palate.
Glenfiddich 19-year-old will be available at select travel retail locations, retailing for £130 (US$175).
