Bounty Rum returns to Notting Hill Carnival

Mangrove Global is once again bringing Saint Lucian rum brand Bounty to the heart of the carnival celebration in Notting Hill, London.

Bounty Rum’s presence at the event, which takes place on 24-25 August, will include two float sponsorships, in-venue activations across London bars and other UK cities, and after parties.

Natanni St Omer, cultural ambassador and the runner-up of Saint Lucia’s Queen of the Bands competition, will lead the brand’s signature yellow floats. Revellers who follow the floats can enjoy unlimited food and Bounty drinks.

Distributor Mangrove Global is also collaborating with Xtreme Mas Band and Lagniappe Mas Band, which are both owned by Saint Lucians, along with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, to bring Caribbean revelry to a broader audience.

Attendees can purchase a specially designed costume from one of Bounty’s two partners. Both brands have created costumes inspired by their respective themes: ‘Pulse’ and ‘Awakening Rebirth’.

This year, Bounty is also collaborating with Padnas, a fresh fruit cocktail brand with Saint Lucian heritage. This partnership will include three new limited edition cocktails.

Ashera Goonewardene, brand ambassador of Bounty Rum, commented: “Each year for Notting Hill Carnival, our aim is to go bigger, bolder, and better. Bounty and Saint Lucia are entirely intertwined, and there really is no better place to celebrate that culture than at Carnival.

“We also saw how well-received Bounty and carnival celebrations were in other parts of the UK last year – so we’ve really ramped that up with fresh activations in venues and cities across the UK. If you want a taste of the festivities, there’s only one spirit you should be topping up your glass with this August.”

Bar activations

Venues across London will be serving Bounty Rum cocktails in specially crafted paper cups. Among these cups, 10,000 will feature a QR code with a chance to win a trip to Saint Lucia.

After parties will take place on both days at The Beachcomber Tiki Bar and Notting Hill Arts Club. The lineup at the Arts Club includes artists such as Jamie Rodigan, Sandra Omari, Rebel Clash, Liam Bailey, and Joe Armon-Jones.

Bounty will also take over neighbouring bars in St Martin’s Square, including 33CankStreet, Tonne Bar, and Crafty St Martin’s, located in Leicester.

Additionally, Bounty will be activating in other venues across the UK, from Glasgow to Norwich.

Last year, Mangrove Global and Bounty attended the carnival with the M2K Mas band.

In January 2025, St Lucia Distillers – the island’s only distillery and producer of Bounty, Chairman’s Reserve, Admiral Rodney, and Denros rums – was granted geographical indication (GI) status in a landmark ruling.
