Bounty Rum headlines Notting Hill Carnival

Distributor Mangrove Global and Bounty Rum will return to Notting Hill Carnival next weekend (25-26 August) in partnership with Saint Lucia’s M2K Mas band.

The spirits distributor has partnered with the Saint Lucian Tourism Authority (SLTA) and M2K Mas to bring two Bounty experiences to the London-based event, held during the August bank holiday weekend.

Notting Hill Carnival’s parades bring colourful floats, live music, dancing, and exquisite costumes onto the area’s streets, encouraging people to dance and party while celebrating Caribbean culture.

“M2K Mas celebrates the rich culture and carnival traditions of Saint Lucia, based on a real sense of fun and community that we believe resonates with participants year after year. These are values we share with Bounty Rum,” said Lamar Peart from M2K Mas.

“This is the second year M2K Mas has partnered with Mangrove – and through our partnership, we will give partygoers an unforgettable carnival experience.”

Bounty will be running two carnival floats in the spirit’s signature colours, where the team will serve up drinks and play the sounds of Saint Lucia for revellers who will party behind the float.

The brand invites people to join the festivities by offering them the opportunity to purchase M2K Mas costumes with a theme of mystical creatures. Along with the purchase, they will receive Bounty merchandise and unlimited drinks and food while on the road.

Ashera Goonewardene, brand ambassador of Bounty, commented: “This is not the first year Bounty has been an official sponsor of the Carnival, but it is our biggest and boldest yet. Bounty is embedded in the culture of Saint Lucia, and this latest event is a testament to Bounty’s goal to bring that same Caribbean spirit of fun to communities across the UK.”

Outside of the parade, Bounty Rum can be found at bars along the route itself, including Portobello Star, The Hayden, Cottons and Trailer Happiness.

On 20 August, the spirits brand will host VIPs from the UK for an exclusive pre-carnival party. In addition, Bounty will also be hosting post- and pre-carnival soca parties, fuelled by Bounty Rum Punch and live soca music.

“Notting Hill Carnival is the perfect place for people to discover and explore the brand.”

Earlier this year, Bounty hosted a domino competition in the UK as well as four regional Spirit of St Lucia cocktail competitions in the US.
