The UK’s ‘most theatrical’ cocktail brand, The Alchemist, will release its second book, called Cosmic Cocktails: Master the Mixology of the Zodiac.

The book, which launches in October, will feature 100 recipes inspired by the 12 signs of the Zodiac.

Each cocktail is said to ‘capture the essence of its star sign’ through curated ingredients and ‘unforgettable’ presentation.

For instance, the Pear-ple Rain is a tribute to musician Prince, who was a Gemini. The serve blends pear liqueur, honey syrup, Prosecco and ‘indigo drops’, with a dry ice garnish adding drama.

Meanwhile, Breaking & Eggs is inspired by the Virgo ‘natural affinity for cooking’. The cocktail features malt whisky, Martini Riserva Speciale Rubion, banana liqueur, cinnamon syrup, maple syrup and Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas Bitters.

Scorpios should enjoy the Smokey Paloma, due to their “innate fascination with solving mysteries”. The drink mixes mango and chilli Tequila, Pampelle Ruby Aperó, simple syrup and Schöfferhofer beer.

Every star sign is also paired with a non-alcoholic cocktail.

The book will retail for £18.99 (US$26).

Earlier this year, The Alchemist’s CEO Simon Potts spoke to us about the rise in demand for experiential drinking experiences.

The bar group opened the UK’s first permanent Negroni bar in collaboration with Campari in February.
