Stock Spirits opens logistics site in Poland

Sierra Tequila owner Stock Spirits Group has opened a logistics centre in Lublin, Poland, to increase the company’s operational efficiency over the long term.

Stock Spirits held an opening event for its new logistics centre in Lublin, Poland

The new 55,800-square-metre facility, located in the 7R Park Lublin East I complex, forms a ‘significant pillar’ in the group’s transformation strategy and is said to combine process automation, sustainability values and strong regional ties.

Lublin was chosen as the site’s location due to the city being home to Stock Spirits’ largest production facility. It was also the ideal location due to its ability to serve both domestic and global markets.

The new centre will take over all the company’s domestic logistics operations, and is equipped with advanced technological solutions, including AI-based mixed pallet picking, automated co-packing and a fleet of autonomous, self-driving AMR trucks.

The company will employ a mixed storage model that combines very-narrow aisle (VNA) high-bay racking with block stacking.

This state-of-the-art infrastructure will boost operational flexibility and help the company to respond quickly to changing market needs.

Jean-Christophe Coutures, CEO of Stock Spirits Group, said: “Our ambition is to create an organisation that not only anticipates market needs but also sets new operational standards.

“The distribution centre in Lublin is an investment in the future, that will allow us to manage the supply chain even more effectively and strengthen our position as a leader in the industry in Europe.”

The centre has been designed to be sustainable with a 150 kWp photovoltaic installation, solar panels for heating water, a DALI automatic lighting management system, and infrastructure electric car charging stations.

Marek Sypek, managing director of the group’s Polish arm, Stock Polska, added: “The new logistics centre is a key pillar of our operational transformation strategy, combining technological innovation with environmental responsibility.

“The Lublin project aligns seamlessly with our long-term goals of optimising processes, reducing environmental impact, and deepening our local roots. It stands as a model example of how infrastructure development can go hand in hand with sustainable practice.

“We’re pleased to have the support of an experienced partner like 7R – but it is Stock’s strategy and our ambition that set the direction and drive the pace of this investment.”
