Gossip Girl ‘spills the tea’ on Betty Booze RTDs

Blake Lively has unveiled the latest ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails from her Betty Booze brand, with help from her former Gossip Girl co-star Zuzanna Szadkowski.

Szadkowski, who played the character of Dorota Kishlovsky in the teen drama, stars alongside Lively, who played one of the show’s lead characters, Serena van der Woodsen, in the brand’s ‘Sharing Good Tea’ campaign.

In the 85-second spot, the two meet on a bench to ‘spill the tea’ on the latest RTDs from the Betty Booze brand: a duo of vodka iced teas.

The ad opens with a nod to Gossip Girl as an unseen onlooker snaps a photo of Lively.

Szadkowski then joins Lively and, after removing their sunglasses, Lively teases: “You sound different,” to which Szadkowski responds: “Oh, allergies. I have tea.”

Lively asks: “Good tea?”

Szadkowski replies: “Oh, the best tea,” before unveiling Betty Booze’s vodka iced teas in two fruit flavours.

Both expressions pair premium vodka with their respective fruit flavours – passion fruit and Meyer lemonade – alongside iced black tea and a touch of agave for sweetness. They contain no artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners.

In the spot, Szadkowski describes the drinks as “balanced, crisp, nothing artificial” while pouring them into teacups.

The launch marks Betty Booze’s first foray into vodka cocktails, and joins a portfolio of sparkling Tequila and Bourbon serves.

In a statement, Lively said: “Our new vodka iced teas are summer in a can — real tea, real fruit juice, clean spirits and zero artificial anything ― just like all our other Betty Booze drinks.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our first vodka offering with this launch, expanding our ‘bar’ from Tequila and Bourbon. Part of what makes Betty Booze unique is we’re an RTD line that recreates the experience of going to your favourite bar or restaurant with all different spirit offerings vs one, with recipes crafted by hand, with cleanliness and care.

“With a taste that’s crisp, easy, comforting and clean ― and with beautiful cans to match ― our new vodka lineup is Meyer Lemonade Iced Tea and Passionfruit Iced Tea,” she continued. “Whether you’re at a BBQ, a beach hang, or just spending time at home, our new vodka teas are made from recipes created in my home, by hand, built to share and enjoy.”

The Betty Booze Vodka Iced Tea four-packs are available now on www.bettybooze.com, in Total Wine & More, BevMo and other stores across the US.

Andrew T Chrisomalis, co-founder of Betty Booze, added: “At Betty Booze, we believe that RTD cocktails can be as thoughtful and delicious as anything you’d find at a great bar. With the launch of our first vodka-based, non-carbonated flavours, we’re expanding that vision.

“These new flavours are bright, balanced, and made with real ingredients, crafted for people who care about what’s in their glass or can. We’re proud to keep raising the bar on what convenience can taste like.”
