Founded in 2019, The Spirits Business Awards aims to reward excellence across the global spirits industry.

The Brand of the Year category was introduced in 2024, and has had an additional subcategory added to it this year, Tonics & Mixers.

The complete set of Brand of the Year categories are: Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Speciality, Tequila/Mezcal, Brandy/Cognac, Rum/Cachaça, and Tonics & Mixers.

Eoin Bara, Tipple co-founder, said: “As Tipple powers brands into Europe through DTC [direct to consumer], we’re genuinely thrilled to sponsor The SB Awards, especially Brand of the Year.

“Having founded my own gin distillery, I understand the challenge that today’s drinks businesses face. The SB Awards are a shining example of the very innovation, quality, and entrepreneurial spirit that gave birth to Tipple in the first place.

“We’re proud to back the event that acknowledges those distillers, brand creators, and industry torchbearers that push beyond boundaries – the same people we built our platform to serve.

“The SB Awards showcase the dedication and hard work of drinks makers, mixologists, and everyone else in between who pour their heart and soul into presenting unique experiences and, frankly, these are exactly the brands that benefit most from direct-to-consumer capabilities.

“Our take on the event is that Tipple is there to assist the industry’s most cutting-edge brands in making their mark on the world stage by supporting them.”

The entry deadline for this year’s awards is approaching and will close on 27 June 2025. The shortlisted entries will be announced in August.

The winners will be invited to attend a glitzy awards ceremony at The Underglobe Theatre in London.

Following on from last year’s host, Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman, this year’s awards ceremony will be hosted by English comedian Rob Beckett.
