OP Anderson offers modern twist on aquavit

Anora Group-owned OP Anderson has debuted Amp Shot, a flavoured aquavit liqueur that aims to ‘capture the energy of nightlife’.

OP Anderson Amp Shot is ‘a versatile shot that connects storied heritage with modern celebration’. Offered at 16% ABV, it blends the brand’s signature aquavit with citrus, cooling mint, Gunpowder green tea, and chilli.

The new product features a sleek jet-black label with neon green accents and glow-in-the-dark effects.

According to Anora, the international spirits market is witnessing a rising consumer interest in authenticity and craftsmanship, alongside a desire for innovations that blend traditional practices with modern trends. Amp Shot is designed for this new generation of premium spirits enthusiasts.

Inna Cahnbley, global brand manager at Anora, said: “Innovation lives at the heart of this launch. Our goal with Amp Shot is to retain the essence of what makes OP Anderson so revered as a brand, while also turning it into something entirely new – something that can live beyond the long Swedish banquet table.

“Amp Shot is about vibrant energy, togetherness, and creating moments.”

The new liqueur is available in Systembolaget’s special order selection in Sweden, retailing for SEK199 (€18/US$21).

Described as Sweden’s ‘oldest’ aquavit brand, OP Anderson was introduced in 1891.

Other flavoured products in its portfolio include raspberry schnapps and a stout-infused aquavit.

Last month, Anora Group welcomed Imre Avalo as its new senior vice-president of the company’s spirits segment, following the appointment of Kirsi Puntila as CEO earlier this year.
