La-Yam to open above London’s Holborn station
By Lauren BowesLondon will welcome a new rooftop bar just in time for summer, with La-Yam perched on the eighth floor of Kingsbourne House, directly above Holborn station.

The open-air venue, which opens on 19 June, has capacity for 200 people.
Guests can take a lift to the seventh floor of the building, with the bar one flight of stairs above, creating the feel of a ‘hidden, secret hideout’. La-Yam has views of iconic London sights such as The Shard, The City and the BT Tower.
The cocktail menu features classics such as the Margarita Picante, Hugo Spritz and Paloma.
Chef Eran Shachaf, who is also behind London sites Cafebotanical and Americano Classico, will lead the food offering.
The ‘modern, ingredient-led’ Greek menu features seasonal vegetables and locally sourced produce. On Sundays, La-Yam will host a barbecue-style asada Sunday roast, with dishes including sea bream skewers, harissa chicken thighs, slow-roast short ribs and lamb kofta kebabs.
On Fridays, the bar will host up-and-coming London DJs, with the rest of the week offering more relaxed ambient music.
Guests can join yoga classes led by La-Yam’s Elevated Wholeness brand in the morning.
The space is also available for private hire and corporate events.
The decor is ‘minimalist’ and ‘natural’ with wooden finishes and lush greenery throughout.
