Dram unveils rare Chichibu whisky
London cocktail bar Dram has collaborated with Japanese distillery Chichibu on a one-off whisky bottling.

The whisky was drawn from one of Chichibu’s smallest and most distinctive casks, a peated concerto barley cask, and can be purchased exclusively from Dram in Soho, London.
The whisky is described as a ‘a true reflection of the distillery’s character’ and has an ABV of 59.4%.
Only 100 bottles are available for a price of £330 (US$440).
Martyn ‘Simo’ Simpson, co-founder of Dram, said: “This project represents the best of collaboration in the drinks industry: shared values, shared creativity, and a shared appreciation for truly great whisky.”
Dram was selected by Speciality Drinks, a UK premium on-trade wholesaler, due to the bar’s contribution to London’s whisky community.
Dram opened in London at the tail end of 2023.
The whisky, meanwhile, also sports a special design from Raj Chavda, creative director of Speciality Brands, which is the distributor of Chichibu in the UK.
The bottle’s label design was inspired by traditional tattoo flash art.
It features imagery of a coiled snake, a skull, swallows, a rose and a gibson guitar, which pays tribute to punk legend Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, who used to reside in Denmark Street in Soho where Dram is based.
