Dictador Rum lands in Austria
By Miona MadsenColombian rum maker Dictador has teamed up with distributor Salud Austria to enter the Austrian market for the first time.

Founded in 1913, Dictador Rum is said to combine the artistry of three generations of rum-making expertise with a modern touch.
Each bottle of Dictador is crafted from Colombian sugarcane honey by the Parra family, and ‘captures the essence of the Caribbean’.
The rum, now available in Austria, is offered in several varieties, including Dictador 12, which is a blend of rums aged between five and 12 years; Dictador 20, aged for up to 20 years; Platinum, a blend of rums aged between 25-35 years; and Aurum, which is also aged between 25-35 years.
In addition, the brand has embraced creativity with The Game Changer, designed by French sculptor Richard Orlinski.
Maria Kitsati, country director of Salud Spirits, said: “We are beyond proud to welcome Dictador Rum. This brand aligns perfectly with our vision and represents the pinnacle of what premium spirits can be. We cannot wait to introduce these exquisite rums to enthusiasts and connoisseurs in every corner of Austria.”
Salud Austria is constantly expanding its portfolio.
In the last couple of months, the distributor has partnered with brands such as Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston’s Dos Hombres Mezcal, and Margot Robbie’s Papa Salt Gin, as well as expanded its offerings of Scarabus, Loch Lomond, and Glen Scotia single malts.
